How long does delivery take?

Our Free delivery service takes up to 10 working days, with an average delivery time of 3 – 5 working days. (Orders are dispatched as soon as we have a full van load for each area, helping keep our prices low and reducing carbon emissions).
Our Express delivery service guarantees delivery within 2 working days

If you have completely run out of Salt, then please let us know when you order and we’ll do our best to get to you sooner.

What are the minimum order quantities for free delivery?

What if I am not in?

We’ll leave your salt outside, normally near the garage, side gate, front door or anywhere else you request.

Can you help me carry the Salt inside?

Our drivers are more than happy to help with any requests to deliver the salt to a suitable location on your premises, such as into garage or shed. But do so at their discretion and at your risk, and subject to our Coronavirus (Corvid-19) protection measures. Which salt can I use in my Water Softener?

Only salt specifically designed for water softening should be used in your softener.

Most Water Softener manufacturers recommend Tablet salt, but you can also use Granular or Block salt in your softener if preferred.

Block Water Softeners such as Kinetico, Harvey’s, TwinTec and Minimax are designed for Block salt, but some will accept Tablet salt as well.

Granular is easier to pour and scoop, so may be beneficial for smaller softeners or any installed in difficult to access place. It can also be used for de-icing paths and driveways.

When using Granular salt we recommend that you do not fill the softener more than ¾ full to allow space for water in the brine tank.

In all cases please refer to your Water Softener manufacturer/instructions.

Which is the best Salt brand?

For Tablet salt we always recommend Regenit and Broste. They are round Tablets that are less likely to break up in the bag, unlike the squarer Tablets from brands Hydrosoft, Aquasol and others. They also come in a bag that seems to be stronger and more robust than most salt brands. The Broste brand has been on sale in the UK for over 30 years.

The Block Salt brands are nearly identical, and both are compatible with all Block Salt water softeners. Kinetico is UK’s biggest Block Salt brand and our best value.

The Broste and Hydrosoft Granular Salt are identical in quality and both suitable for Water Softeners and Dishwashers. The Hydrosoft is a smaller granule size at 0.2 – 0.6mm.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by Credit/Debit card, PayPal, BACS, Cheque and Cash on Delivery.

For new customers or large orders we reserve the right to ask for payment before delivery.

Can I collect Salt from your premises?

We do not have a collection option all our products are sent out via our home delivery service.
